FILED ONE B2 EXTENSION FOR MOM; NOW SHE HAS AN INJURY CAN I EXTEND AGAIN?

         Question:

My Mother is here on B2 VISA , she came on date 19th Nov 2020 last year. Her stay for 180 days was getting over in May 18th 2021; so I filed for extension due to bad Covid situation in India to extend stay till 30th September 2021 , which would be 130 days extension and application is still in pending state. Now She has gotten a toe injury (broken toe) and doctor suggested for 1 month recovery time which would be mid of October.

Can I apply for 15 days more extension after September 30 or the default extension is for 180 days ?

Is there a cooling period in case she wants to come back to US ?

Answer:
She should file for an extension for sure but it won’t get approved because the fingerprinting will not be done. She should stay out for a year or more. There are other issues-  if she gets her B2 extensions denied her visa on her passport is also deemed to be denied.
