Supreme Court Tie Blocks Obama Immigration Plan: The Supreme Court on its opening day for 2016-2017, denied the Obama Administration’s request to re hear the case that resulted in the month of June, a 4-4 deadlock, which simply said, “The judgment is affirmed by an equally divided court”. But these few words have crushed the hopes of some 5 million undocumented immigrants. Under this Plan, called Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents or DAPA, the unauthorized immigrants who were the parents of the citizens or lawful permanent residents could apply for the program that would spare them from deportation and also provide with work permits.
