I would like to apply for a green card for my spouse in India but his birth certificate has an error, date on his birth certificate and passport is different . So if he submit an affidavit along with the birth certificate instead of correcting that will it be okay for USCIS?
Answer:
The passport needs a correction for it to work. An affidavit will not work. Please see between the birth certificate and the passport which one is correct and have that document corrected.
