NEW PASSPORT NEW I-94 DATE

Question:

I am on L1A Visa. My Visa is valid till 06/26/2022. My wife is on dependent Visa with the same validity. When she came here(Dallas,US) with her passport with expiry date: 10/26/2020, she got I-94 admit until 10/26/2020. We applied for her new passport in June and she got the new passport. I applied her extension application I-539 last month, so that we can get new I-94 admit date.
My Question, what if USCIS will not process my application or what should I do? Can she go out from US and come back so that we will get new dates or if she goes out then she need a new visa on her new passport?
Answer:

You must have an approved I-797 along with the visa validity. Is your I-94 given to you till 2022 as well? Though it is faster to step out and come back in with the old visa and the new passport and update the I-94 that way, it is possible to continue to be here relying on a “validly filed” I-539.
