WHY AM I STILL WAITING ON THE CONSULATE FOR AN INTERVIEW?

         Question:

I have a petition for my spouse approved from NVC already and waiting for visa interview date from US embassy, Nepal. All documents were approved in April 2021 and it has been more than 3 months. I still have not received any notification for visa interview scheduling yet. I know US embassy in Nepal is conducting interview only for emergency cases. I am trying to see if my case can be expedited and get my spouse as soon as possible before there is another shutdown.Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Answer: 

Nothing that can be done except requesting the visa. They are quite behind and frankly don’t care much. He can request repeatedly though- at least once every few weeks. Right now there is at least no ban existing for visitors from Nepal.
