My sister has a Green Card. She wants to become US citizen so she can sponsor her married daughter. I understand that net 5 years / 60 Months stay on US soil is necessary. Does this stay has to be continuous or it can be in broken periods? Any link to this information will be appreciated.
Answer:Kindly be aware that she needs at least 2.5 years of physical presence in the country in the last 5 years and she cannot have stayed abroad for more than 6 months at a time. Please see link below.
