ALERTS: USCIS Forms Update 2021

On August 06, 07, 09, and 10 th , 2021, USCIS announced that it was going to update the
following forms and dates from when it will accept the updated forms:
1. Form I-191, Application for Relief Under Former Section 212(c) of the Immigration and
Nationality Act (INA) – Starting Oct. 5, 2021, USCIS will only accept the 07/20/21
edition. Until then, one can use the 12/02/19 edition. One can find the edition date at the
bottom of the page on the form and instructions.
2. Form I-192, Application for Advance Permission to Enter as a Nonimmigrant – Starting
Oct. 5, 2021, USCIS will only accept the 07/20/21 edition. Until then, one can use the
12/02/19 edition. One can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and
instructions.
3. Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status – Starting Oct.
13, 2021, USCIS will only accept the 03/29/21 edition. Until then, one can use the
03/10/21 edition. One can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and
instructions.
4. Form I-485 Supplement J, Confirmation of Bona Fide Job Offer or Request for Job
Portability Under INA Section 204(j) – Starting Oct. 13, 2021, USCIS will only accept the
03/29/21 edition. Until then, one can use the 03/10/21 edition. One can find the edition
date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.
5. Form I-485 Supplement A, Supplement A to Form I-485, Adjustment of Status Under
Section 245(i) – Starting Oct. 13, 2021, USCIS will only accept the 03/29/21 edition.
Until then, one can use the 03/10/21 edition. One can find the edition date at the bottom
of the page on the form and instructions.
6. Form I-131, Application for Travel Document – USCIS will now also accept the 04/24/19
edition. One can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and
instructions.
