Can you please suggest on the following:
1) I’m a green card holder since 2014 and I got my green card through marriage. I got married in 2014 and divorced in 2020 December and would like to know if I mention my status as divorced for citizenship application will it affect my application as I got a green card through marriage.
2) If I have traveled to India recently last month can I still apply for citizenship?Answer:
No issues if divorced 6 years after the marriage based green card. And if it was a short visit, which didn’t change your residence then it is usually okay to file. In exercise of caution you could wait 90 days from the time of entry.
