I am in US on green card since last 2 years. Due to Covid-19 I had to stay in India for 11 months last year. Does my 11 months stay in India disqualify me from 30 months eligibility period to apply for citizenship when I complete 5 years on my green card?Answer:Unless the issue was extreme health related and was inadvertent, the 11 months would not be counted towards the continuous residence and the time built would be from the time you return to the country and by going forward 4 years and 9 months from then. This should be properly assessed for different other aspects before this opinion is relied on.
