BORN A US CITIZEN BUT MOVED AWAY WHEN VERY YOUNG, NOW MARRIED ABROAD WHAT TO DO?

         Question:

Hello Pallavi,
I have a query, my daughter is a USC born in 2003 at Houston Texas and we moved out of US in the year 2005, from that time she never visited U.S. She recently got married on 5th of November 2021, now she would like to settle down in U.S along with her husband. Can you please suggest us a process how to proceed.
Note : Her husband is an Indian Citizen.
We are looking forward to your services.
Thanks
Regards,

Answer:

Your daughter has to establish her stay in the US and pay her taxes in the US to be allowed to sponsor her spouse. She will have to move here and start her life here- otherwise the green card will not be approved for her spouse. She has to be a USC and establish residency.
