HAVE CONSULATE INTERVIEWS FOR MOM AND DAD FOR THEIR GREEN CARDS; HOWEVER FILED FATHERS ADJUSTMENT OF STATUS IN THE STATES MOM STILL HAS INTERVIEW. WHAT DO I NEED TO DO FOR MY FATHERS CASE?

         Question:

I applied for my parent’s immigration as a US citizen at the ISB consulate in 2019, but my father had to come to the US and he had to apply for Adjustment of status in Jul 2021, his AOS is in process but he also got an email from the consulate that they have scheduled an interview for him and my mother next month, what should we do? should we write them a letter that my father is doing AOS process now or send a letter with my mother when she goes for her interview at the embassy to let them know?
Answer:

In response to the question regarding your mother and father the attorney response is; regarding your fathers immigration case “Send a letter to the consulate which your father has his case to withdrawing his NVC process. And informing them about the AOS  that has been filed in the states is recommended.”
