Hello Pallavi – I had already filed my I-485 (PD-12/2009) in EB2 back in 2012 when I was still with my sponsoring employer (A) & have been maintaining my EAD/AP status as well as H1B since then & have switched jobs since then on AC21.
My question is – since EB3 is already current for my PD (12/2009), should I interfile to downgrade to EB3 or you think it’s better to wait for a couple of months to see if EB2 catches up/crosses December dates in upcoming bulletins since they mention ‘rapid movement’ for EB2 in the October bulletin.

Wait for now. You are able to downgrade it and you still don’t have to align it to your pending AOS for a bit till you get it approved, then check what works.
