CAN I FILE AN I-130 AND I-485 CONCURRENTLY FOR MY MOM

Question:

My mother is here in the USA on B1/B2 visa . Her visa is expiring on 29 September, 2020.
I am a US citizen. Can I apply a form I-130 for her now? Will this give her a legal status to live here until filing I-485?
Or, I am better off filing the visitor visa extension (2nd time) and then file the Green Card concurrently .
Add to that, due to the current situation with COVID-19, does the form I-693 need to be certified by the doctor? This will consume time to be prepared. Beyond her current deadline, may I file both files I-130 and I-485 concurrently for now before her visa expires on September 29, 2020 without form I-693. Later submit that I-693 once that is available .
Answer:

You are able to file for an I-130 and I-485 concurrently for your parent. You can do it before or after September 29th if you are a USC but if you extend her visitor visa it can be done only before September 29th. The medical exam can be submitted later.
