My sister is in USA on B2 visitor visa. Her visa expires by end of Jan 2022. She came to USA on Nov 2021 and port of entry gave her permission to stay till May 2022. Due to COVID and personal reasons if she wants to extend her stay( after getting approval from USCIS) can she do that or does she has to go back to India as she needs to come back again around April and would stay till June or July 2022. Can you advise as she does not want to run into trouble with the consulate later when she gets her visa stamping if she extends her stay after getting approvals. Answer:In response to the question regarding your sister and her B2 visa; your sister is permitted to stay here till the end date of her I 94. No issues with that, even if her visa expires. No more time than that. But in order for her to stay until June or July, she should leave soon and come back after visa stamping
