Both my parents (65 +) are US citizens and are stuck in India because of COVID-19 for more than a year now . Is there any time frame limit to stay outside US for a citizen?
Answer:
There should be no issues for US citizens abroad. And they should not have trouble coming back to the US after their stay abroad. Tell them to register with the US consulate through the department of state for any announcements. Ties to the US, I am sure exist for them. Maintain those always and stay abreast with any changes being announced. This advice is based on what is in place right now and is subject to change. I wouldn’t expect that to happen but it’s possible.
