DOES COMPANY “A” HAVE TO AUTHENTICATE I-140 JOB OFFER

Question:

I was on L1 A (valid till 2023) and my I-140 was approved in July 2020 with a priority date of October 2019. However, since no projects etc. during COVID-19 time, I had to moved back to India and resigned from the company who did the I-140 processing.
As per current visa bulletin, it is in September-2020 for Eb1 category.
I am in another company now in India, and have an H1B visa through another company. If I come on an H1B, Would I be able to apply for an adjustment of status based on the previous company I-140 and then the process will go through. Question: Does the previous company need to authenticate the open job offer or is it the current company that needs to provide that job offer is there? Please let me know
