CAN I FILE N-400 AFTER 2.9 YEARS OF SPOUSE GREEN CARD

Question:

My wife came to USA through spouse Visa and received a Conditional Permanent Residence. I applied for Application to Remove Conditions on her green card in April 2018. The application is still pending as of current status. The last action we did was give fingerprints and are awaiting an interview. The receipt we received when we filed the application is a valid proof for travel and entry in the United states but will expire in November. Can I file an N-400 application since the 2 year 9 month period requirement has been met? OR what is the best course of action?

Answer:

Yes, you could file the N 400 if it has been 2.9 years since the date of her permanent resident status.
